The Town of Duck brings jazz to the Duck Town Park annually in early October. This event is non-ticketed and free to the public. Food and drinks are available to purchase from town eateries and chairs are available for rent. Attendees may also bring food, coolers, chairs, blankets and well-behaved dogs.

No beach umbrellas or tents are permitted at the event. The Duck Jazz Festival is held rain or shine.

CENTERFEST IS BACK – SAVE THE DATE! The Durham Arts Council is bringing the 47th Annual CenterFest to Downtown Durham on September 17 & 18, 2022. CenterFest is the longest-running juried outdoor arts festival in North Carolina. CenterFest boasts juried visual artists from near and far, great entertainment, lots of food and fun, and educational activities for kids. Downtown Durham’s vibrant city center district, CenterFest performers, artists, and visitors will enjoy a setting filled with restaurants, shops, and studios: a perfect space for an event that will bring 30,000+ visitors over the weekend. CenterFest 2022 will include several performance stages showcasing music, dance, street performers, and community groups. Bring the family, bring your friends, bring the neighborhood!

Duke Performances is thrilled to announce our return to American Tobacco Amphitheater with four free concerts in September 2022! Back by popular demand, this series began in 2021 as part of an initiative to offer more outdoor events during the pandemic. We are proud to continue this partnership with American Tobacco Campus for a second year.

Our 2022 line-up kicks off with hot local Latin dance band Orquesta K’che (+ free salsa lessons!) on Sept 7, then continues with concerts by jazz prodigy Samara Joy (Sep 14), rising country music star Caitlyn Smith (Sep 21), and guitar phenom Zach Person (Sep 28). Full details are below.

Award winning composer/pianist Steve Anderson, two wonderfully creative percussionists Beverly Botsford and Ramon Ortiz, who is a native of the Dominican Republic, Andy Kleindienst, an all-around top musician on bass, and saxophonist/clarinetist/composer Gregg Gelb winner of the Raleigh Medal of Arts 2018 and NC Arts Council Jazz Composers Award.

In 1998, the Summer Music Series program was created by the Downtown Winston-Salem Partnership in an effort to support revitalization efforts in Downtown Winston-Salem. This effort has been instrumental in the resurgence of our downtown. The popular free concerts bring live music to downtown on Friday and Saturday nights from June through August. They have become a vital part of the fabric of the city, last year bringing people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds together in a spirit of celebration. Setting the concerts in the streets and parks of downtown has provided a relaxed and safe atmosphere, and the locations also serve to showcase the architecture, shops, restaurants and galleries that are unique to Downtown Winston-Salem.

Third Street will be closed, and tables and chairs will be set up in the street. 

We are excited to welcome back one of Beaufort’s best parties, the BHA’s annual Summer Party! We cannot wait to see all of our friends, including the Scarborough Fare Catering team, who will be slinging drinks and whipping up delicious food all night long. This year, we will be welcoming THE SHAKEDOWN from Raleigh, North Carolina, bringing classic dance music for an unforgettable night. This group will light up the stage and make everyone want to hit the dance floor!

The Ocean City Jazz Festival (OCJF) is North Topsail Beach’s premier cultural event organized by the Ocean City Beach Citizens Council, a 501 c3, non-profit corporation. The Music Fest, which takes place the weekend of the July 4th holiday, features local and nationally, recognized musicians.
